HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS o Book Standards apply to your Homework Book. o SPELLING: Each week, students will have a new spelling list of a minimum of 10 words. Practice these words each night. Write them down, say them aloud, cover them, spell and check. Once you have practiced your words get Mum or Dad to TEST you. o READING: Make sure you are reading a book at home EACH night. If you don’t have a book on any night, then you need to read a FREE CHOICE book. This book maybe one you have at home or a library book. MAKE SURE YOU FILL OUT YOUR READING LOG (at the back of your Homework Book) EVERY NIGHT!!!! If you don’t do this, your teacher can not mark off your homework as being COMPLETED. o HOW MUCH TO DO? § All students will complete all CODE 1 activities. § Year 5 students to complete at least TWO Code 2 activities. § Year 6 students to complete ALL Code 1 and 2 activities.
